Monkey Business: Meet Stubby, Flo, Foster and Their Orangutan Friend

Monkeys are among the most popular animals we sell. Kids love them, and I understand why. They’re cheeky, playful and always look like they’re up to something.

We have several monkey characters right now, each from a different Ty range.

Meet the troop

Stubby the Monkey is a Beanie Belly. His birthday is 10 September.

Flo the Spotted Monkey is a Beanie Boo. Like all Beanie Boos, she has the big, sparkly eyes the range is famous for. Her birthday is 27 June.

Foster the Monkey is a classic Beanie Baby. His birthday is 3 February.

Each one is $14.99.

A fun fact for young fans

We also stock Bananas II the Orangutan at $14.99, with a birthday on 22 April.

Here’s something to share with kids. An orangutan is not a monkey. It’s a great ape, like gorillas and chimpanzees. One easy way to tell the difference is that apes don’t have tails, and most monkeys do.

It’s a small fact, but children love correcting adults with it.

Birthday matching

Every Ty character has a birthday on its tag. Many of our customers choose a character that shares a birthday month with the person receiving it.

If you’re buying for someone born in February, Foster is a natural choice. For a June birthday, choose Flo. It’s a simple touch that makes the gift feel personal.

Three ranges, three styles

Having monkeys across three Ty ranges means you can choose the look you like. Beanie Boos have the large eyes. Beanie Babies have the classic shape collectors grew up with. Beanie Bellies offer a different style again.

Buy all three monkeys, and you have a small troop for $44.97. Add Bananas, and it’s a jungle.

Mascots and prizes

Monkeys make excellent mascots. We regularly supply clubs, dance schools and teams with characters for good luck. If you need a larger quantity, contact us about bulk pricing.

Buy with confidence

We’re an Australian family-owned business. We buy direct from Ty through its authorised Australian distributor and sell at RRP. Everything is new.
